Amy Lynn Hunt is the Chief People Officer at FIRST®, which means she has the responsibility of supporting the organization’s key people functions, including our Human Resources, Volunteer Resources, and Youth Protection Program departments. She loves that her job involves supporting the volunteers that make our programs possible and ensuring all our participants have a safe and positive experience.
Amy Lynn joined FIRST in 2015 because it was immediately obvious the impact FIRST has and how FIRST programs transform lives and make the world a better place. Prior to FIRST, Amy Lynn served in the US Navy for six years as a Surface Warfare Officer and then transitioned into a career focused on education policy and youth-serving nonprofits.
Fun fact: Amy Lynn’s daughter was born on a Kickoff day for FIRST® Robotics Competition (one of the only valid excuses to miss a Kickoff?) and she is counting down the days until her daughter is old enough to officially participate in FIRST programs.
