FIRST Sponsor United States Air Force Enhances Security with Robotic Dog

Join the FIRST community for Beyond the Bots on FIRSTtv this Thursday, April 8 at 6:30PM ET as we sit down with Master Sergeant (MSgt) Miller from the United States Air Force to discuss the robot dogs being used for patrol on Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida.

The computerized canines, which have been developed and implemented as part of a larger security enhancement, are programmed to patrol areas that are not desirable for humans and vehicles. These four-legged bots will not be replacing the Air Force’s real working dogs, but rather will be used as a force multiplier for enhanced situational awareness.

Tune in and subscribe to learn more about the innovative process behind the creation of these robot dogs and how the United States Air Force plans to use robotics to enhance security moving forward.
