It’s Time for a #FIRSTChamp Curtain Call!

For nearly three decades, FIRST® and LEGO® Education have partnered to deliver FIRST® LEGO® League and introduce millions of young people to STEM through hands-on learning, teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving. These programs have helped students build core skills and confidence that are transferable to other FIRST programs, learning both in and outside the classroom, and careers across a wide range of industries.
Today, we are sharing an update about the future of this collaboration. LEGO Education has chosen not to renew our partnership agreement. The 2026-2027 season will be our final season, after which FIRST LEGO League will conclude. We will move forward with the 2026-2027 season as planned and remain dedicated to delivering a high-quality, engaging experience throughout.
At the same time, FIRST is actively developing our own next generation of K-8 program experiences. These new, innovative program offerings are being designed to build upon everything FIRST values while opening even more exciting opportunities for creativity, collaboration, and real-world STEM exploration.
We are excited about this next chapter and the opportunities ahead for our valued students, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters worldwide. In the coming months, we will share additional information and opportunities for the community to learn more.
We are deeply grateful for the passionate community that has grown around this program and for the impact it continues to have on participants and supporters worldwide. Thank you for your continued enthusiasm for and dedication to FIRST and our mission to inspire young people to recognize their potential and build the skills needed to shape the future.
