In just over a week, 600 FIRST® Robotics Competition teams will load in for the 2025 FIRST® Championship presented by BAE Systems. More than 573 teams are already registered for the event, and many more will be added shortly.
Event Information
We shared a blog post about a month ago with some FIRST Championship information. Today, we’re excited to share a few more updates and reminders. The FIRST Robotics Competition Championship Information webpage has additional information, including floor plans, the public schedule, and more! This webpage will continue to be updated closer to the event with division assignments, pit assignments, and more as information is finalized.
On-Site Registration
Team’s lead mentor 1 or 2 must check-in at the Team Check-In Desk in Hall C to receive their team’s name badges and team Registration packet. Check-in times are Wednesday, 7 AM to 7 PM.
FIRST requires every FIRST Championship attendee to be registered and badged, including adult team mentors, youth team members, parents, family members, chaperones, etc. who are participating in the event. You can refer to this article for more information on who needs to be listed on the team badging. There is no pre-registration for spectators and they will need to register onsite.
Team Load In
General Team Load In begins at 9 AM. Teams who shipped their robot will be allowed in at 7 AM to allow early access in the pits for teams who may not have had access to their robot for several weeks. All Early Load-In teams must check in at the early check-in desk in the lobby outside Hall C to obtain wristbands to enter the pits.
Teams who need to Check In and print name badges at the Team Check In desk or need to send members to the loading dock from the lobby may also check in at the early check-in desk to obtain a different colored wristband to allow them access. These teams will not be allowed in the pits until 9 AM.
As a reminder, only 6 team members are allowed in the pits until 2 PM. See the Team Load In/Out section on the FIRST Robotics Competition Championship Information webpage for more information.
Division Assignments
We expect to release division assignments later this week, which will be posted on the FRC-Events webpage. We will add late registering teams to divisions as they are confirmed. We will announce when divisions are posted via the FIRST® Robotics Competition Facebook.
Pit assignments will not be completed until next week and pit maps with team locations will be posted on the FIRST Robotics Competition Championship Information webpage once they are final and an announcement will be posted on the FIRST® Robotics Competition Facebook. Pit assignments will also be viewable in the FIRST Championship App.
Streaming
If you can’t join us at the event, or if you have family, friends, or sponsors who want to tune in back home, all of the FIRST Robotics Competition fields will be streamed on Twitch. In addition to dedicated streams for each of the eight divisions, FIRST Champs Live will be back this season for combined coverage and analysis of the entire event! Streaming links will be posted to the FIRST Robotics Competition Championship Information webpage before the event.
Team Service Center
We’re thrilled to introduce the Team Service Center to the event! The Team Service Center is a team-run organization with the mission to help all teams. Competing in FIRST Robotics Competition is hard, and they are here to help teams overcome challenges and get robots back out on the field. At the FIRST Championship, they will be providing spare parts, tool loans, and technical assistance. Teams 254 and 1678 will manage and run the effort, with participation from selected other teams. For those familiar with CheesyCare or Citrus Service, the Team Service Center is an expanded version of these groups, scaled to better meet the needs of teams at the FIRST Robotics Competition Championship.
The Team Service Center will have stations at both the Hall A and Hall E pit areas. Teams seeking parts or technical support may come to the location near their pit for help. Many parts and materials will be provided free of charge. Tools will be loaned and must be returned when work is complete to allow other teams access.
Teams interested in donating items to help with this initiative can fill out this form. We suggest that each team sign up for no more than 1-2 items.
The Team Service Center looks forward to assisting many teams in having a successful FIRST Championship!
Mental Health Support
Taking care of your mental well-being is just as important as your team’s performance on the field. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or need someone to talk to, confidential counseling services are available on-site for adult and youth participants. The Harris Center for Mental Health will provide trained counselors who will offer confidential, on-site counseling services to FIRST participants Wed-Sat from 7:00 AM to 6:00PM.
- To Schedule an Appointment complete this form or scan the QR code at Pit Admin
- Check in for your appointment at the Youth Protection Office (Room 352C).

Note about Confidentiality: All appointments are private, and the limited data collected via the form is used only for scheduling. It will be deleted after the event.
Everything Else
There’s so much else going on in addition to the 600 FIRST Robotics Competition teams and the nearly 1,200 matches they’ll play during the event! FIRST® LEGO® League Explore will have 40 teams, FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge will have 160 teams, and FIRST® Tech Challenge has grown to 256 teams this year.
There are conferences on the third floor of the George R. Brown Convention Center on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and a full schedule of the sessions will be available on the app.
The Innovation Faire and Scholarship Row will again be on the second floor this year, where you can see the latest technology from some FIRST sponsors, meet with the Hall of Fame teams, and network with colleges and universities who recruit FIRST students.
We can’t wait to welcome our teams to this incredible event!
