Celebrating Walk Like Woodie Day

FIRST® Signing Day is an annual celebration of high school students taking their next step, whether that’s education, enlistment, employment, or something else entirely. It’s all about recognizing every pathway and ensuring graduating students are recognized, supported, and seen as they move forward in their journey after high school as FIRST alumni.
Want to be part of FIRST Signing Day? Here’s how:
1. If You are a School or Team: Host a FIRST Signing Day Celebration
- Find resources and step by step guides from FIRST® Robotics Competition team 2468.
- Choose a day and time that works for your students and community.
- Set up a space where students can sign letters announcing their next steps.
- Invite families, mentors, staff, and friends to join the celebration.
- Snap photos, make some noise, and share on social with #FIRSTSigningDay and #FSD2025.
- Celebrate all pathways to success, such as college, job training, military, apprenticeships, and more.
2. If You are a Graduating Student: Share YOUR Next Step
- Create or print a FIRST Signing Day letter of intent.
- Write in your post-graduation plans, whether it’s school, work, service, or anything in between.
- Take a photo or video and post it with #FIRSTSigningDay and #FSD2025.
- Show your pride in your accomplishments and inspire others to celebrate their future.
3. If You’re Not Graduating This Year but Want to Celebrate Graduates: Show Your Support
- Share encouragement, advice, or simply shout out the graduates in your life on social media using #FIRSTSigningDay and #FSD2025.
- Send a personal note, card, or message to recognize their next step.
- Attend a FIRST Signing Day event or help organize one in your community.
- Share encouragement, advice, or congratulate these students for all they have achieved!
