At this point, we cannot commit to either using or not using this carpet beyond the 2026 season. We are working with carpet vendors to find a multi-year solution for carpet. If the carpet vendor changes, it’s unlikely that the characteristics of the carpet will significantly change. Any carpet used for FIRST Robotics Competition would still need to interact in similar ways with robots, the hook tape used to secure field elements, and the gaffers tape used to denote zones.*   Over the past few years, several teams have asked about a way to purchase the same carpet that is used at official *FIRST*® Robotics Competition events. We are excited to have determined a way to offer that service for this season! Team orders for the same carpet that will be used in the 2026 season are now open from AndyMark. The carpet is Shaw Floors, Philadelphia Commercial, Neyland II 20, 66561 Medallion. There are two carpet sizes available: a full roll (15 ft x 74 ft) and a practice field roll (15 ft x 30 ft). Two full rolls are used to make a full *FIRST* Robotics Competition playing field (so, a total carpeted area of 30 ft x 74 ft). Customers will need to pre-pay for the carpet and shipping to place their order. AndyMark cannot accept Purchase Orders for the carpet. There are two shipping options: direct shipping from the supplier in Georgia or Pick-Up at AndyMark. AndyMark will work with customers regarding specific details with pricing to ship the carpet. A flat shipping fee will be added to the order as a placeholder, with the final price adjusted prior to the order being shipped. (This is a similar process to *FIRST* Choice order shipping.) Carpet orders are expected to be shipped to customers in October 2025. AndyMark can only ship the carpet to locations in the Continental United States. AndyMark is working with their international distributors to offer purchase options for teams outside the Continental United States.
