South Carolina Forming Independent District

Default FIRST Image

Two years ago, the Peachtree district expanded to include teams from South Carolina. The goal with this expansion was to build the skills and capacity for FIRST® South Carolina to eventually form an independent district.

We are excited to announce that FIRST South Carolina is transitioning to an independent district for the 2024-2025 season!

I extend my sincere thanks to the leadership of both GeorgiaFIRST Robotics and FIRST South Carolina for the work that went into this partnership over the last two seasons. On behalf of Connie Haynes, CEO of GeorgiaFIRST Robotics, and Chris Cortez, FIRST South Carolina FIRST® Robotics Competition Program Delivery Partner, I want to say “thank you” to the teams and volunteers for taking this journey the last two seasons.

We’re still working on making these updates in our systems, so South Carolina teams won’t see this new district reflected in the FIRST Dashboard yet.

Good luck to our new district, FIRST South Carolina!
