Key Changes to FIRST Robotics Competition Registration: What’s New

Starting today, FIRST® Robotics Competition teams and individuals individuals looking to join the program for the 2027 BIOCORE™ presented by Haas season can create an account or log in to a refreshed FIRST® Dashboard experience.

This refreshed Dashboard experience brings many improvements to team management and youth registration as well as the ability to update the new financial guarantor information ahead of the new FIRST Storefront opening.

Updates Coming to FIRST Robotics Competition Opt Outs and Kit Shipping

FIRST Robotics Competition teams will experience an updated checkout process when season registration payment becomes available in September. To help streamline the registration experience and remove multiple steps and deadlines, opt-outs for Drive Base and/or Black Tote will be included as part of the checkout process. Teams will also select their Kickoff/Kit shipping during checkout.

More information regarding this change will be available closer to September. The season registration due date is November 17, 2026.

If you’re a team that previously paid the season registration fee directly to a district, you will have the ability to purchase your registration directly through the FIRST Storefront or utilize your district’s* process and have them complete your registration by adding them as your financial guarantor.

*District teams in Ontario, Israel, or the Pacific Northwest should contact their FIRST Program Delivery Partners for more information.

Financial Guarantor Set Up

If your team plans to apply a sales tax exemption certificate or purchase their registration or product using a purchase order, the team profile will need to be associated with a financial guarantor.

You can search or set up your financial guarantor now from the “Team/Account Finances” tab using an organization or institution EIN (or international equivalent).

Taking the time now to start or complete this process will set your team up for a faster checkout experience.
