Encore! Teams from Around the World take the Stage at MASTERPIECE Open Events

During the 2023-2024 MASTERPIECE^SM season, FIRST^® LEGO^® League teams came together to explore the role STEM plays in the arts and work together to design a world of endless possibilities.   

To commemorate the MASTERPIECE season, several FIRST LEGO League Open events took place around the world over the summer. At these events, teams took the stage to showcase their creativity, innovation, and lots of Gracious Professionalism^®.   

Congratulations to all teams who competed at a FIRST LEGO League Open during the MASTERPIECE season! Find highlights about the events below: 

Open European Championship 

Location: Bodo, Norway  

Date: May 13-17, 2024 

50 teams representing more than 40 countries competed at the Open European Championship in Bodo, Norway.  

Western Edge Open 

Location: Long Beach, CA, USA  

Date: May 31-June 2, 2024 

90 teams from around the world came together in Long Beach, California, USA for the Western Edge Open. 

FLL WPI Open Invitational 

Location: Worcester, MA, USA  

Date: June 7-9, 2024 

Over 100 teams representing over 30 countries came together in Worcester, Massachusetts, USA for the WPI Open Event to celebrate the MASTERPIECE season.

Florida Sunshine Invitational 

Location: Daytona Beach, FL, USA   

Date: June 19-23, 2024 

Over 50 teams from all around the globe competed at the Florida Sunshine Invitational Open in Daytona Beach, Florida, USA. 

FLL Asia Pacific Open Championship 

Location: Australia  

Date: July 4-7, 2024 

Over 50 teams from around the world competed in the Asia Pacific Open Championship in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia to celebrate the MASTERPIECE season. 

Congratulations to all the teams who participated in #MASTERPIECE events this season! We hope to have you back next year as we explore the layers of the ocean and sea into the future during our SUBMERGED^SM season, part of the 2024-2025 ocean-inspired robotics season FIRST^® DIVE^SM presented by Qualcomm.
