BIOCORE Events!

The first round of event preferencing opens Thursday, September 24, at 12 pm (noon) eastern time! This blog has information that may be helpful as teams make their event selections. As a reminder, all teams have one week to enter preferences, and teams can edit and change preferences up until the deadline. There is more information on the entire event preferencing system, including additional dates, a user guide, and FAQ, on the Event Preferencing webpage. 

A reminder that teams in FIRST in Michigan, FIRST North Carolina, Pacific Northwest, and FIRST Indiana use the “home event” registration process.  New this season, teams in California are restricted to events in their “home region” (North or South) as part of Round 1. 

Teams are restricted to preferencing Regional Events in their home country as part of Round 1. This restriction does not apply if there are no events in a team’s home country. Also new this year, teams will select their local Kickoff and what options in the of the Kit of Parts they want to opt out of beginning September 24. Teams must check out by the payment due date, after this date, opt-out vouchers will not be available and teams can only select the full registration option.

Returning Regional Events

We’re excited to welcome back the following Regional Events that did not happen last season, including the Canadian Rockies Regional, returning for the first time since 2019! A huge thanks to the Partners for their efforts to bring these events back!

Combined Events

The Utah Regional and Idaho Regional are combining into one event called the Intermountain West Regional. This event will rotate between the two prior events’ host cities. For 2027, the Intermountain West Regional is taking place in Nampa, Idaho.
