--- title: We've Got 2020 Vision description: National Instruments extends support for FIRST Robotics Competition with software and roboRIO technology through 2021, ensuring continuity for teams with key components and wireless solutions. --- Written by Kate Pilotte, FIRST Robotics Competition Kit of Parts Manager. It’s official! In case you haven’t heard, *FIRST* announced today that National Instruments (*FIRST* Strategic Partner and FRC Crown Supplier) will be extending their generous support of *FIRST* Robotics Competition with software and roboRIO technology through the 2020 and 2021 seasons.  We also want to let you know that *FIRST* has secured supply of the CTR Electronics support boards (Power Distribution Board, Voltage Regulator Module, and Pneumatic Control Module) through the 2021 season, so you don’t have to worry about a disruption there either. We’ll continue to use the Open Mesh radio in 2019, and are currently reviewing the proposals submitted as a result of [the Request for Proposal](https://community.firstinspires.org/2018-first-steps-next-wireless) published last month for alternate solutions starting in 2020. We will keep you updated as decisions in the wireless space are made. If you have feedback or suggestions about the wireless implementation, we’d love to hear them; please include them in the 2018 Kit of Parts survey, to be distributed later this spring. We want to close this blog by saying to National Instruments, for your cross-program engagement, software donations, financial backing, hardware donations, development and engineering support, event support, team technical support, the example you set for other companies, and your adoption of *FIRST* throughout your corporate culture: ![2018-thank-you-ni-blog](https://community.firstinspires.org/hs-fs/hubfs/blog/frc/2018-thank-you-ni-blog.gif?width=350&height=194&name=2018-thank-you-ni-blog.gif)   ** [FRC](https://community.firstinspires.org/topic/frc) #### Share it: [** ](https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=https://community.firstinspires.org/2018-weve-got-2020-vision) [** ](https://twitter.com/share?url=https://community.firstinspires.org/2018-weve-got-2020-vision) [** ](http://www.linkedin.com/shareArticle?mini=true&url=https://community.firstinspires.org/2018-weve-got-2020-vision) ![Default Author Image](https://community.firstinspires.org/hubfs/Community%20Blog%20v2/images/FIRST-author-icon.svg) Author [FIRST Robotics Competition Staff](https://community.firstinspires.org/author/first-robotics-competition-staff) ### Related Posts ** [FRC](https://community.firstinspires.org/topic/frc) Game Piece Availability Challenges January 26, 2018 ** [FRC](https://community.firstinspires.org/topic/frc) Wait, what?
